Oliver Abeleda
Managing Partner
Oliver Abeleda is the founder of Cypress Equity Group (CEG). He oversees the firm’s assets and investment strategy.
Prior to founding Cypress Equity Group, Mr. Abeleda was the COO of MJW & Associates, a real estate firm specializing in the acquisition and repositioning of multi-family residential communities in the southeast United States. More specifically, he was responsible for implementation of the firm’s strategic growth objectives as well as asset management.
Previously, Mr. Abeleda had held key positions in the successful development of several start-up business ventures in the construction and engineering industries. His experiences have literally been drawn from Wall Street to Main Street, where he gained over a decade of cross-disciplinary business management, marketing, strategic planning and financial analytical skills. Concurrently, he had developed a strong background in construction & project management while being a Florida certified construction contractor in multiple disciplines.
Mr. Abeleda received a B.S. in Accounting from Purdue University. Additionally, he is a Florida licensed Building Contractor (CBC1253193) and a Pollution Storage Systems Contractor (PCC 056770). He is also a Florida licensed real estate agent.

Mark Durliat is the co-founder and CEO of Grace Bay Resorts, the boutique hospitality brand and management company behind the Grace Bay Club in Providenciales, a five-star resort hotel property and member of Leading Hotels of the World. Mark is also leading the firm in its development or management of two additional luxury properties in this rapidly growing island nation. Mark is the original developer of the Grace Bay Club, a $220 million super-luxury 130-key condo hotel resort perched on 11 acres on the coveted Grace Bay beach. Considered one of the premier residential & resort developments in the Caribbean, the resort has been listed on World’s Best by Travel & Leisure Magazine for the past 5 years, the Gold List by Condé Nast Traveler for the past 10 years, awarded Most Excellent Resort in 2007 and 2009 by Condé Nast/Johansens, and in 2009 named Hotel of the Year in the Turks and Caicos Islands by the Turks and Caicos Islands Hotel Association.
Prior to the Turks & Caicos, Mark founded a successful condominium hotel development company in Cape Town South Africa. Prior to South Africa, Mark worked for years with Gary Player in developing golf, hotel and residential projects in Europe.
Mr. Durliat holds a BS in Business (Entrepreneur Program) and French from the University of Southern California. In 2009 Mark was awarded “Lifetime Achievement Award” in Turks and Caicos by the TCI Hotel Association. He was previously a member of the Turks & Caicos Islands Tourist Board.
